Guys, there is more to men's health
than your balls but this page is for men to get to grips with their
tackle.
Testicular cancer is more common in men under
thirty, a regular feel of your balls can give an early indication
of a testicular lump. This should be done once a month after
a warm bath or shower. Take a look at the
Everyman
site for a guide to self examination.
For older men Prostate problems are more common. The prostate
is one of a group of glands whose secretions nourish sperm after
ejaculation. It is located at the neck of the bladder.
In its early stages, prostate cancer may not
cause any symptoms. But may include any of the following
problems:
- Delays in urinating
- Stopping and starting urinating
- A weak stream of urine
- Urinating more often than usual
- Blood in the urine
- Pain and stiffness in the lower back and
hips
For both these diseases, catching them early is important.
Don't put off going to the doctors and getting any concerns checked
out. They have seen it all before.
